Local Referral Sources
Neuropsychology, neurology, neuroscience, and psychiatry are all separate but closely related disciplines, especially when it comes to the treatment of memory disorders. These disorders—such as mild cognitive impairment and Alzheimer’s disease—require a team to diagnose and fully manage. At The CRCNJ, you’ll have access to just such a team thanks to our collaboration with a neurology practice and a psychiatry practice—all under one roof.
Memory disorders go beyond a single specialty, often requiring multiple perspectives and treatment modalities in which an individual provider may not have expertise. That’s why The CRCNJ collaborates extensively with two other practices in the same building: a neurology practice–Kurlan Specialized Neurology, LLC—and an adult and geriatric psychiatry practice–Pelorus Elder and Behavioral Health.
These collaborations allow The CRCNJ to offer comprehensive care to all patients diagnosed with a memory disorder. Having three practices under one roof makes it easy for patients to see the specialist they need in a fashion that’s most convenient for them.
We collaborate with any and all practitioners, as requested by our patients. We have a strong track record in working with neurologists, psychiatrists, geriatricians, primary care providers, psychologists, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals.
If you or a loved one is experiencing a decline in memory or cognitive function, the first step to a comprehensive evaluation–which may include future referrals to our collaborators–is to request a consultation at The CRCNJ. We can help coordinate care with our collaborating physician groups as appropriate.
